I love beets, so I always try new recipes for them when I find one. Instead of just maple syrup, this version adds a little tang from balsamic vinegar that I like because it cuts the sweetness just a little. If you don't like vinegar, however, you can just leave it out.

Tips:
- Choose the right beets: Look for smooth, firm beets without any blemishes or bruising. Smaller beets tend to be more tender and flavorful.
- Trim the beets properly: Cut off the tops and bottoms of the beets, leaving about an inch of stem attached. This will help prevent the beets from bleeding too much during cooking.
- Roast the beets until tender: Roasting the beets in the oven is the best way to bring out their natural sweetness and flavor. Roast them at a high temperature (400 degrees Fahrenheit or higher) for about an hour, or until they are easily pierced with a fork.
- Glaze the beets with a flavorful mixture: Once the beets are roasted, glaze them with a mixture of butter, brown sugar, balsamic vinegar, and spices. This will add a delicious sweet and tangy flavor to the beets.
- Serve the beets warm or at room temperature: Glazed beets can be served warm or at room temperature. They can be enjoyed as a side dish, salad, or appetizer.
Conclusion:
Glazed beets are a delicious and versatile dish that can be enjoyed in many different ways. They are a great source of vitamins and minerals, and they are also a good source of fiber. If you are looking for a healthy and flavorful side dish, glazed beets are a great option.
