Tips:

  • To achieve the perfect consistency for the glaze, mix powdered sugar with just enough milk to create a thick, pourable mixture. If the glaze is too thick, add more milk a little at a time until you reach the desired consistency.
  • When shaping the cookies, roll the dough into small balls and then flatten them slightly with the palm of your hand. This will help them bake evenly and prevent them from becoming too thick.
  • To ensure that the cookies are evenly glazed, dip each cookie completely in the glaze and then gently shake off any excess. Place the glazed cookies on a wire rack to allow the glaze to set completely.
  • For a more intense anise flavor, use a combination of ground anise seeds and anise extract in the cookie dough.
  • Store the glazed anise cookies in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days. You can also freeze the cookies for up to 2 months. Thaw the cookies at room temperature before serving.

Conclusion:

Glazed anise cookies are a delightful treat that is perfect for any occasion. They are easy to make and can be customized to your liking. With their sweet and slightly spicy flavor, these cookies are sure to be a hit with everyone who tries them. So next time you are looking for a delicious and festive cookie recipe, give glazed anise cookies a try.
