GINGER S'MORES
I've spent a few years now perfecting this recipe to get a soft, flavorful cookie while balancing the marshmallow and chocolate so they don't overpower the cookie. I think I finally got it! Recently I added orange zest-it really complements the other flavors. -Lynsay Benson, Minnetonka, Minnesota

Tips:
- Use fresh ginger. Fresh ginger has a more intense flavor than dried ginger, and it will give your smores a delicious zing.
- Grate the ginger finely. This will help the ginger flavor to distribute evenly throughout the smores.
- Add the ginger to the chocolate. You can add the ginger to the melted chocolate or to the chocolate chips. If you are adding it to the melted chocolate, be sure to stir it in well.
- Use high-quality marshmallows. The marshmallows are the key ingredient in smores, so it's important to use high-quality marshmallows that are fresh and fluffy.
- Roast the marshmallows over a campfire or in the oven. If you are roasting the marshmallows over a campfire, be sure to hold them close to the fire so that they toast evenly. If you are roasting the marshmallows in the oven, preheat the oven to broil and then place the marshmallows on a baking sheet. Broil the marshmallows for 1-2 minutes, or until they are golden brown.
- Assemble the smores. Place a graham cracker square on a plate. Top with a roasted marshmallow and a piece of chocolate. Sandwich the smores with another graham cracker square.
Conclusion:
Ginger smores are a delicious and easy-to-make treat that is perfect for any occasion. They are the perfect way to enjoy the flavors of ginger and chocolate. With just a few simple ingredients, you can make a batch of ginger smores that will be sure to please everyone. These smores are also a great way to use up leftover ginger.
