I'm not certain as to why this dish has the name it does but it certainly is good!! Some people have a hard time getting past using tomato soup as the sauce but just try it; you'll like it too!!

This was made by my Mother Inlaw from Germany. My wife made this often and it inspired my own version which you can find under Hamburger Gravy.

Tips:

  • Use high-quality ingredients: Fresh, high-quality ingredients will make a big difference in the flavor of your dish. Look for organic, local produce whenever possible.
  • Don't overcook the pasta: Spaghetti should be cooked al dente, meaning it should still have a slight bite to it. Overcooked pasta will be mushy and unpleasant to eat.
  • Use a large skillet: A large skillet will give the pasta plenty of room to cook evenly. If you use a small skillet, the pasta will be more likely to clump together.
  • Add the pasta to the sauce, not the other way around: This will help the pasta absorb the flavors of the sauce.
  • Season the pasta to taste: Add salt, pepper, and other seasonings to taste before serving. You can also add grated Parmesan cheese or fresh herbs.

Conclusion:

German spaghettini is a simple but delicious dish that is perfect for a quick and easy weeknight meal. With its combination of fresh vegetables, flavorful sauce, and al dente pasta, this dish is sure to please everyone at the table. So next time you're looking for a new pasta recipe to try, give German spaghettini a try. You won't be disappointed!
