Tips:

  • Prep the goat cheese: Soften the goat cheese at room temperature for 30 minutes before mixing it with other ingredients. This will make it easier to combine and create a smooth dip.
  • Use fresh garlic scapes: Garlic scapes are the tender stems of garlic plants. They have a mild garlic flavor with a hint of onion and chives. If you can't find garlic scapes, you can substitute 2 cloves of minced garlic.
  • Roast the garlic scapes: Roasting the garlic scapes intensifies their flavor and gives them a slightly smoky taste. You can roast them in the oven or on a grill.
  • Use a food processor: A food processor makes quick work of combining all of the dip ingredients. If you don't have a food processor, you can use a blender or mix the ingredients by hand.
  • Adjust the seasonings to taste: The amount of salt, pepper, and lemon juice you add to the dip is a matter of personal preference. Start with a small amount and add more to taste.
  • Serve the dip with your favorite dippers: Garlic scape goat cheese dip is delicious with a variety of dippers, such as crackers, bread, vegetables, and chips.
