Tips:

  • Choose the right potato: Yukon Gold or Russet potatoes are ideal for this recipe as they hold their shape well and have a creamy texture.
  • Slice the potatoes thinly: This will help them cook evenly and quickly. Aim for 1/4-inch thick slices.
  • Don't overcrowd the baking dish: Make sure there is enough space between the potatoes so that they can cook evenly. If the potatoes are too crowded, they will steam instead of roast.
  • Roast the potatoes at a high temperature: This will help them get crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. Aim for a temperature of 425°F (220°C).
  • Season the potatoes well: Garlic, rosemary, and thyme are classic seasonings for roasted potatoes, but you can use any herbs or spices that you like. Be sure to season the potatoes liberally so that they are flavorful throughout.
  • Roast the potatoes until they are tender: The potatoes are done roasting when they are tender when pierced with a fork. This should take about 25-30 minutes.

Conclusion:

This garlic potato bake is a simple but delicious side dish that is perfect for any occasion. The potatoes are roasted until they are crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, and the garlic and herbs add a flavorful touch. This dish is sure to be a hit with your family and friends.
