Yield 4

Number Of Ingredients 13

3/4 tsp salt
1/4 tsp black pepper
1/4 tsp cayenne
1/8 tsp paprika
1/4 tsp garlic powder
1/8 tsp onion powder
1/4 tsp thyme
1/4 tsp dried parsley
4 boneless skinless chicken breast halves
2 TBL butter
1 TBL olive oil
2 tsp garlic powder
3 TBL lime juice

Steps:

  • In a small bowl, mix salt, pepper, cayenne, paprika, 1/4 tsp garlic powder, onion powder, thyme, and parsley Sprinkle generously on both sides of chicken (I do this at least 1 hr before) bring chicken close to room temp before cooking Heat butter and olive oil in heavy skillet over medium heat. Saute chicken until golden brown, about 6 minutes on each side. Sprinkle with 2 tsp garlic powder and lime juice, cook 5 minutes stirring frequently to coat evenly with sauce

Tips:

  • Marinate the chicken breasts for at least 30 minutes. This will help the chicken breasts absorb the flavors of the marinade and cook evenly.
  • Use a large skillet or grill pan over medium heat. This will help the chicken breasts cook evenly without burning.
  • Cook the chicken breasts for 7-8 minutes per side, or until cooked through. Use a meat thermometer to check that the chicken breasts have reached an internal temperature of 165 degrees Fahrenheit.
  • Let the chicken breasts rest for 5 minutes before serving. This will help the juices redistribute throughout the chicken breasts, making them more tender and flavorful.
  • Serve the chicken breasts with your favorite sides, such as rice, potatoes, or vegetables.

Conclusion:

Garlic lime chicken breasts are a quick, easy, and delicious weeknight meal. The chicken breasts are marinated in a flavorful mixture of garlic, lime, olive oil, and spices, then cooked until tender and juicy. Serve the chicken breasts with your favorite sides, such as rice, potatoes, or vegetables, for a complete and satisfying meal.
