Time 10m

1/2 cup mayonnaise
1/2 cup sour cream
2 ounces goat's cheese (4oz if you really love it!)
1 fresh lemon, juice and zest (don't skip the zest!)
2 garlic cloves, minced (I've used up to 4 for these proportions, gets pretty intense at that point)
1 dash cayenne
1/2 teaspoon fresh ground black pepper
1/4 teaspoon kosher salt

Steps:

  • Mix all the ingredients.
  • Cover and refrigerate for 2 hours to let it all settle.
  • Serve with raw carrots, broccoli, tomatoes, crackers, chips, nachos - anything you like dipping into stuff. :).

Tips:

  • Use fresh herbs and spices. Fresh herbs and spices will give your dip the best flavor. If you don't have fresh herbs on hand, you can use dried herbs, but use half the amount.
  • Don't overmix the dip. Overmixing the dip will make it runny. Stir the dip just until the ingredients are combined.
  • Let the dip chill for at least 30 minutes before serving. This will allow the flavors to meld together and the dip to thicken up.
  • Serve the dip with your favorite crackers, vegetables, or pita bread. You can also use the dip as a spread for sandwiches or wraps.

Conclusion:

Garlic goat cheese dip is a delicious and easy-to-make appetizer that is perfect for any occasion. It is creamy, flavorful, and sure to please everyone. With these tips, you can make the best garlic goat cheese dip that will impress your guests and family.
