Categories     Snacks

Yield 8 servings

Number Of Ingredients 12

1 lb ground beef
1 egg
¼ cup bread crumbs
4 tablespoons Chopped fresh parsley, divided
½ tablespoon salt
½ tablespoon pepper
1 batch pizza dough
1 cup marinara sauce, plus more for serving
1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
¼ cup butter, melted
2 cloves garlic, minced
2 tablespoons grated parmesan cheese

Steps:

  • In a medium bowl, combine the ground beef, egg, bread crumbs, 2 tablespoons of parsley, salt, and pepper. Mix well.
  • Pinch off a ball of the mixture, roll between your hands to make ping pong ball-sized meatball. Repeat with the rest of the meat.
  • In a large pan, cook the meatballs over medium heat, turning to brown each side. Remove from heat and drain on a paper towel.
  • Preheat oven to 350°F (180˚C).
  • Pinch off a portion of pizza dough and, with your hands or a rolling pin, flatten out and top with a tablespoon of marinara sauce and mozzarella cheese. Add a meatball and wrap the dough over, pinching at the seams to close. Repeat with the remaining ingredients.
  • Arrange the balls in a circle, seam-side down, in a large cast-iron skillet.
  • Mix the melted butter with the garlic, remaining 2 tablespoons of parsley, and the Parmesan. Brush the balls with the garlic butter mixture.
  • Bake for 20 minutes, or until golden brown. Let cool for 5-10 minutes.
  • Place a bowl of warm marinara sauce in the middle of the skillet, then serve.
  • Enjoy!

SPAGHETTI GARLIC BREAD RING

Spaghetti Garlic Bread Ring image

What could be more delish than spaghetti and garlic bread all in one bite? The recipe is super simple and a fave of the entire family! (ETA: Per the picture, I was using my baking stone for this recipe, but have found that a large, round pizza pan actually lets the bottom cook faster)

Provided by Trisha Robertson

Time 1h

Number Of Ingredients 6

1/2 box cut spaghetti (regular spaghetti is fine too)
1/2 jar(s) spaghetti sauce - try not to use an overly watery spaghetti sauce
3 tube(s) crescent rolls (i perfer the pillsbury garlic crescent rolls)
2-3 c mozzarella cheese (amount will vary depending on how much you like)
garlic salt (to taste)
parmesan cheese (to sprinkle on top)

Steps:

  • 1. Preheat oven to 375°
  • 2. Cook the spaghetti per directions on the box. Drain, add a small amount of Extra Virgin Olive Oil (you don't want it to get too sticky) and let cool slightly.
  • 3. Open containers of crescent rolls and lay out on a baking stone in a wreath pattern. (Be sure not to let the thickest part be too thick otherwise it is hard to get cooked all the way.) For a little extra delish, I use the Pillsbury Garlic Butter Crescent Rolls.
  • 4. Neatly place spaghetti around the ring of crescent rolls.
  • 5. Spoon sauce over spaghetti.
  • 6. Top with mozzarella Cheese.
  • 7. Close ring by folding the strips over the spaghetti and tucking them under.
  • 8. Top with Parmesan cheese and garlic salt.
  • 9. Bake in over per directions on crescent rolls - 375° for 11-13 minutes (When time is up, take it out and check the underneath...it may need a few extra minutes to be sure the bottom of the ring is done.)
  • 10. Cool slightly and slice to serve.

Tips:

  • Choose the Right Bread: Use a crusty bread like a baguette or sourdough for a more authentic garlic bread ring. The crusty bread will hold up better to the garlic butter and cheese.
  • Make the Garlic Butter Ahead of Time: You can make the garlic butter up to 2 days ahead of time and store it in the refrigerator. This will save you time on the day you want to make the garlic bread ring.
  • Use Fresh Garlic: Fresh garlic will give your garlic bread ring the best flavor. If you don't have fresh garlic, you can use ½ teaspoon of garlic powder.
  • Don't Overcrowd the Pan: When baking the garlic bread ring, make sure to leave enough space between the pieces of bread so that they can cook evenly.
  • Broil the Garlic Bread Ring Until Golden Brown: Broiling the garlic bread ring at the end will give it a nice golden brown color and crispy texture.

Conclusion:

Garlic bread ring is a delicious and easy-to-make appetizer or side dish. With its crispy crust, garlicky flavor, and gooey cheese, it's sure to be a hit at your next party or gathering. By following the tips above, you can make the perfect garlic bread ring every time.
