This is a recipe I have made for Christmas for years. They never last long because they are really yummy!! Yield approximate. Hope you enjoy!

Yield 12-15 squares

Number Of Ingredients 6

1 (11 1/2 ounce) package milk chocolate chips
1/2 cup butter
1/2 cup light corn syrup
2 teaspoons vanilla
1 cup powdered sugar
4 cups Rice Krispies

Steps:

  • Combine milk chocolate chips, butter, and corn syrup.
  • Melt over low heat until smooth.
  • Remove from heat.
  • Stir in vanilla and sugar.
  • Add Rice Krispies, mixing lightly until well coated.
  • Spread in buttered 13x9-inch pan.
  • Chill until firm.
  • Cut into squares.
  • Store in refrigerator.

2 c chocolate chips
1/2 c butter
1/2 c syrup
2 tsp vanilla
2 c sifted powdered sugar
4 c rice krispies cereal

Steps:

  • 1. Combine chips , butter and corn syrup in a medium size saucepan. Stir over low heat until melted and smooth.
  • 2. Remove from heat stir in vanilla and powdered sugar.
  • 3. Add cereal mix lightly until cereal is coated.
  • 4. Spread in a 13x9 inch pan.
  • 5. Chill until firm, cut into squares, makes about 48 squares.

Tips:

  • Use a large bowl to mix the ingredients, as the mixture will expand when the marshmallows are melted.
  • Microwave the marshmallows in 30-second intervals, stirring in between, until they are completely melted and smooth.
  • Add the butter to the melted marshmallows and stir until combined.
