CHOCOLATE FUDGE BONBON COOKIES
An unusual cookies that hold a fudgy surprise inside. I got this recipe from a friend and have enjoyed making these yearly, for the holidays. Be sure you do not bake these too long. Its probably a good idea to try a small batch first right at 6 minutes. Remove them from oven and allow to sit a few minutes to see if they firm up...

Steps:
- 1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. In a heavy saucepan over low heat, stir chocolate chips and butter until melted and smooth. Stir in condensed milk, flour and vanilla until well blended.
- 2. Shape one level tablespoon of chocolate chip dough around each candy kiss. Arrange bonbons one inch apart on ungreased cookie sheets. If desired sprinkle a few colored "sprinkles" on bonbons before baking. Bake 6 minutes. Bonbons will be soft and shiny, but will firm up as they cool. Instead of sprinkles you can drizzle a little thin frosting on these to make them look pretty.
ALMOND BONBON COOKIES
These bonbons remind me of England, with a touch of America. Dip cooled cookies into one frosting or each side into different frostings. Have fun adding any kind of sprinkle toppings you like. - Teri Rasey, Cadillac, Michigan

- Combine sugar, cocoa and milk in a medium saucepan. Stir to blend, then bring to a boil, stirring constantly. Reduce heat and simmer. Do not stir again.
- Place candy thermometer in pan and cook until temperature reaches 238 degrees F(114 degrees C). It should flatten when pressed between your fingers.

Tips:
- For the best flavor, use high-quality chocolate chips. Semi-sweet or dark chocolate chips are good choices.
- If you don't have a candy thermometer, you can test the fudge by dropping a small amount into a glass of cold water. If the fudge forms a soft ball, it is ready.
- Be careful not to overcook the fudge, or it will become grainy.
- Let the fudge cool completely before cutting it into pieces.
- To make the cookies, use a cookie scoop to drop the dough onto a greased baking sheet.
- Bake the cookies for 10-12 minutes, or until they are golden brown.
- Let the cookies cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
