FROZEN FRUIT SLUSH

Provided by Nancy Sneed

Categories     Pineapple

Time 15m

Yield 18 serving(s)

Number Of Ingredients 10

2 1/2 cups water
1 cup sugar
1 (6 ounce) can frozen orange juice concentrate, thawed
3/4 cup frozen lemonade concentrate, thawed
4 large firm bananas, sliced
1 (29 ounce) can sliced peaches, undrained and chopped
1 (20 ounce) can pineapple chunks, undrained
1 (15 ounce) can mandarin oranges, drained
1 (10 ounce) package frozen sliced strawberries, thawed
1 (6 ounce) jar maraschino cherries, undrained

Steps:

  • In a large bowl, combine all ingredients.
  • Cover and freeze for at least 8 hours or until firm.
  • Remove from freezer 45 minutes before serving.

Tips:

  • Choose ripe and flavorful fruits: The quality of your fruit will greatly impact the taste of your slush. Choose fruits that are ripe and at their peak of flavor.
  • Freeze your fruit ahead of time: Freezing your fruit before blending it will help to create a thicker, slushier texture. You can freeze your fruit in chunks or slices, or even puree it before freezing.
  • Use a high-powered blender: A high-powered blender will help to create a smooth and creamy slush. If you don't have a high-powered blender, you can try using a food processor, but the results may not be as smooth.
  • Add some liquid: You'll need to add some liquid to your blender along with the frozen fruit. This can be water, fruit juice, or even milk. The amount of liquid you add will depend on the desired consistency of your slush.
  • Sweeten to taste: If you like your slush on the sweeter side, you can add some sugar or honey to taste. You can also use flavored syrups or liqueurs to add flavor and sweetness.
  • Serve immediately: Slushies are best enjoyed immediately after they're made. If you need to store them, you can freeze them in airtight containers for up to 2 weeks.

Conclusion:

Fruit slush cups are a refreshing and delicious treat that can be enjoyed by people of all ages. They're easy to make and can be customized to your own taste preferences. With a little creativity, you can create endless variations of fruit slush cups that will keep you cool and refreshed all summer long.
