Time 40m

1 lb strawberries, diced
3 Tbsp all-fruit preserves, any flavor
10 flour or whole wheat tortillas (10 inch)
pam cooking spray
4 Tbsp sugar
1 Tbsp cinnamon

Steps:

  • 1. In a large bowl, thoroughly mix kiwis, Fuji apples, blueberries, strawberries and fruit preserves. Cover and chill in the refrigerator at least 15 minutes.
  • 2. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C)
  • 3. Coat one side of each flour tortilla with cooking spray. Cut into 8 wedges. In gallon size Baggie put sugar and cinnamon. Add wedges to coat. On cookie sheet spread out wedges. Spray again with cooking spray.
  • 4. Bake in preheated oven 10 -12 minutes. Repeat with any remaining tortilla wedges. Allow to cool approximately 15 minutes. Serve with chilled fruit mixture.

Tips:

  • Use a variety of fruits for a more flavorful salsa. Some good options include mangoes, pineapples, strawberries, and blueberries.
  • If you don't have any fresh fruit on hand, you can use canned or frozen fruit. Just be sure to drain off the excess liquid before adding it to the salsa.
  • Add a little bit of heat to your salsa with some chopped jalapeƱos or serrano peppers. Just be sure to remove the seeds and ribs before chopping to avoid making the salsa too spicy.
  • For a sweeter salsa, add a little bit of honey or agave nectar. You can also use a flavored vinegar, such as balsamic vinegar or apple cider vinegar, to add a unique flavor to your salsa.
  • Serve your salsa with a variety of chips, such as tortilla chips, pita chips, or vegetable chips. You can also use it as a topping for tacos, burritos, or grilled chicken or fish.

Conclusion:

Fruit salsa is a refreshing and flavorful dish that is perfect for any occasion. It is easy to make and can be customized to your own taste. So next time you are looking for a healthy and delicious snack or appetizer, give fruit salsa a try. You won't be disappointed.
