Tips:

  • Choose the right fruit: Use fruits that are naturally sweet and juicy, such as peaches, pineapples, mangoes, or oranges. Avoid fruits that are too tart or acidic, as they can overpower the flavor of the marinade.
  • Use fresh fruit whenever possible: Fresh fruit will give your marinade the best flavor. If you're using frozen fruit, thaw it completely before using.
  • Puree or chop the fruit: Pureeing the fruit will create a smooth marinade, while chopping it will give it a more rustic texture. The choice is up to you.
  • Add some acidity: A little bit of acidity will help to balance out the sweetness of the fruit. You can add lemon juice, lime juice, or vinegar to your marinade.
  • Use a good quality olive oil: The olive oil you use in your marinade will make a big difference in the final flavor of the dish. Choose a high-quality extra virgin olive oil.
  • Marinate the meat for at least 30 minutes: The longer you marinate the meat, the more flavor it will absorb. If you're short on time, you can marinate the meat for as little as 30 minutes, but for best results, marinate it for at least 2 hours or overnight.

Conclusion:

Fruit BBQ marinades are a delicious and easy way to add flavor to your grilled meats. With a few simple ingredients, you can create a marinade that will tenderize the meat and give it a sweet and tangy flavor. So next time you're firing up the grill, try one of these fruit BBQ marinades. You won't be disappointed!
