1 cup crushed ice

2 tablespoons agave nectar, (use only if you like a sweeter drink, you can also use honey)
Lime wedges, (for rims)
Sugar or salt, (for rims)

Steps:

  • In a blender combine lime juice, tequila, triple sec, berries, ice, mint, and agave nectar (if using); process until completely blended. Add more liquid, if needed. If you want a thicker margarita, add more ice and process until blended.
  • Taste and adjust. Add more sweetener, if needed.
  • Run a lime wedge around the rim of 4 margarita glasses. Dip the rim in salt or sugar.
  • Pour frozen berry margarita into glasses.

8 ounces tequila
4 ounces triple sec
6 ounces mixed berries, partially frozen
36 ounces ice

  • Put frozen juice concentrate into a blender.
  • Pour tequila into the empty juice concentrate can filling it 1/2 to 3/4 of the way depending on how strong you want them; pour into the blender.

3 packages (12 ounces each) frozen unsweetened mixed berries, thawed
3 cups sugar
2 cinnamon sticks (4 inches)
2 cups fresh lime juice
EACH SERVING:
Lime wedge
1 tablespoon kosher salt
1 ounce tequila blanco
1 ounce Cointreau or orange liqueur

Steps:

  • Combine water, berries, sugar, and cinnamon in a 5- or 6-qt. slow cooker. Cook, covered, on low until berries are tender, 4-6 hours. Press through a cheesecloth-lined fine-mesh strainer into a bowl; discard pulp, seeds and cinnamon sticks. Cool cooking liquid completely. Stir in lime juice. Cover and refrigerate up to 2 weeks., For each serving, using lime wedge, moisten the rim of a margarita or cocktail glass. Set aside lime wedge for garnish.
