Tips:
- Choose a ripe watermelon: Look for a watermelon that is heavy for its size, has a deep red color, and sounds hollow when you tap it.
- Chill the watermelon and other ingredients before blending: This will help to make the margarita extra refreshing.
- Use fresh lime juice: Fresh lime juice will give the margarita a brighter flavor than bottled lime juice.
- Don't overblend the margarita: Overblending can make the margarita watery. Blend just until the ingredients are combined.
- Serve the margarita immediately: Margaritas are best enjoyed fresh. If you need to make them ahead of time, store them in the refrigerator for up to 2 hours.
Conclusion:
These frosty watermelon margaritas are the perfect way to cool down on a hot summer day. They are made with fresh watermelon, lime juice, tequila, and triple sec, and they are blended until smooth and slushy. Garnish with a lime wedge and a watermelon slice, and enjoy! These margaritas are also a great way to use up leftover watermelon. If you have a watermelon that is starting to go bad, simply cut it up and freeze it. Then, when you are ready to make margaritas, just thaw the watermelon and blend it with the other ingredients.
