Tips:

  • Use fresh or canned pumpkin puree: Fresh pumpkin puree will give the bars a more intense pumpkin flavor, but canned pumpkin puree is a convenient option if you don't have time to make your own.
  • Don't overmix the batter: Overmixing the batter will make the bars tough. Mix just until the ingredients are combined.
  • Bake the bars until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean: This will ensure that the bars are cooked through.
  • Let the bars cool completely before frosting them: This will help the frosting to set properly.
  • Use a cream cheese frosting: Cream cheese frosting is the perfect complement to the pumpkin bars. It's rich, creamy, and tangy.
  • Add some cranberries to the frosting: Cranberries add a festive touch to the bars and a tart flavor that balances out the sweetness of the frosting.

Conclusion:

Frosted pumpkin cranberry bars are a delicious and festive treat that are perfect for any occasion. They're easy to make and can be tailored to your own taste preferences. With a few simple tips, you can make sure that your bars turn out perfect every time.
