CRISPY PROSCIUTTO

Crispy Prosciutto image

Try crispy prosciutto sprinkled on potato salad or a baked potato, crumbled over scrambled or poached eggs, tossed with cooked green vegetables, or served on the side with pancakes or French toast.

Provided by Martha Stewart

Yield Makes 1 cup (crumbled)

Number Of Ingredients 1

12 slices prosciutto (about 6 ounces total)

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Line two rimmed baking sheets with parchment paper. Divide prosciutto between baking sheets, laying them flat. Bake until fat turns golden and meat is darker, about 15 minutes (rotating baking sheets from top to bottom halfway through baking time). Using tongs, carefully transfer prosciutto to paper towels to drain (it will crisp as it cools). Crispy prosciutto can be used like bacon, in whole pieces or crumbled.

Tips:

  • Use high-quality ingredients: The better the quality of your ingredients, the better your tortellini will taste. Look for fresh, flavorful prosciutto, tortellini, and cheese.
  • Don't overcrowd the pan: When frying the tortellini, make sure to do it in batches so that they have enough space to cook evenly.
  • Cook the tortellini until they are golden brown and crispy: This will give them the best flavor and texture.
  • Serve the tortellini immediately: They are best enjoyed fresh out of the pan.

Conclusion:

Fried prosciutto tortellini is a delicious and easy-to-make appetizer or main course. With a few simple ingredients, you can create a dish that is sure to impress your guests. So next time you are looking for a quick and tasty meal, give this recipe a try. You won't be disappointed!
