Steps:
- For method 1: Melt butter in your pan, crack the egg into the pan, season with salt and pepper, top with cheese and cover and cook. Once cooked, serve. This should take 2 minutes approx on a low heat.
- For method 2: Add grated cheddar on a non stick pan on a low heat. Let the cheese melt and then crack the egg on top. Season the egg with salt and pepper. Once the cheese has melted and crisped up and the egg cooked through, remove and serve.
- For method 3: Gently beat the egg in a bowl, just enough to break the yolk but not beat it like you do for an omelet. Add some cheese to that and then fry in a pan. Serve.

Its not pretty but it is pretty delicious. A once in a blue moon treat! We like to have either hash browns or tater tots, etc. on the side. Sometimes you just want a simple supper and this fits the bill.

Steps:
- Melt a bit of butter in a large skillet. Once it begins to foam add the eggs, taking care not to break the yolks. Cook according to your preference, flipping them over once. We like the yolks runny and the edges crispy. Season with salt and black pepper and remove to a plate.
- Wipe out the skillet. Butter your slices of bread with the softened butter on one side of each slice. Place two slices into the skillet buttered slice down. Top with one slice of cheese, and then the two eggs. Place the other slice of cheese on top and then the final slice of bread, buttered side up.
- Cook until golden brown on the bottom of the sandwiches. Carefully turn them over and brown them on the other sides.
- Serve hot and cut on the diagonal.

Tips:
- Use fresh, high-quality ingredients. This will make a big difference in the overall flavor of your dish.
- Don't overcrowd the pan. This will prevent the cheese from cooking evenly and may cause it to burn.
- Cook the cheese over medium heat. This will help prevent it from burning and will give you a more evenly cooked result.
- Flip the cheese frequently. This will help it cook evenly and prevent it from sticking to the pan.
- Use a non-stick skillet. This will make it easier to flip the cheese and prevent it from sticking.
- Season the cheese with salt and pepper to taste. This will help bring out the flavor of the cheese.
- Serve the cheese immediately. This is when it is at its best, and the flavors will be most pronounced.
Conclusion:
Fried cheese egg toast is a delicious and easy-to-make breakfast, lunch, or dinner option. It is perfect for a quick meal or a special occasion.
