1/4 teaspoon salt

  • In a large bowl, combine the flours; cut in butter until crumbly. Gradually add water, tossing with a fork until dough forms a ball. 4 ounces butter, softened
1 1/4 cups flour
1/8 teaspoon salt
1 tablespoon minced fresh chives
2/3 cup kalamata olive, pitted,coarsely chopped
4 teaspoons anchovy fillets, chopped
1 tablespoon drained capers
3 large ripe tomatoes, thinly sliced
2 tablespoons olive oil
1 tablespoon garlic, finely chopped
2 small zucchini, shredded on the large holes of a box grater (about 1 ½ cups)
fresh basil leaf (to garnish)

4 -5 ripe roma tomatoes, cut into 1/4 inch slices
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper
1/4 cup extra virgin olive oil
chopped fresh basil (to garnish)

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 400°F.
  • Combine the flour, sugar and 1/4 tsp salt in food processor.

1/4 teaspoon salt
6 tablespoons butter, diced
1 egg
2 pints grape tomatoes, rinsed and dried
1/2 cup basil leaves, divided
1/3 cup chopped green onion
1 1/2 cups sharp provolone cheese, grated
1/2 cup mayonnaise
1/2 teaspoon pepper

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 375*.
  • In a food processor, combine the flour, cornstarch, one-fourth teaspoon salt and butter. Pulse the mixture until it is in very tiny bits.
  • Add one egg and pulse until a dough forms. This dough is rather tough but, it does come together nicely.
  • Gather the dough into a ball. Then press the dough in to the tart pan, covering every bit. (You could, roll the dough out to a 12-inch circle, if you want.) Crimp the edges, and refrigerate for 30 minutes.
  • Roughly chop 1/4 cup of the basil leaves. Stack and roll the other basil leaves and cut them into thin ribbons.

1/2 cup mayonaise
1/8 tsp ground white pepper

Steps:

  • Line 9"fluted tart pan with piecrust. Bake 450 oven for 5-7 min. until slightly dry. Do not prick. Remove crust from oven, sprinkle with 1/2 cup mozzarella. Cool in pan on wire rack. 2 medium tomatoes (preferably home grown), thinly sliced
1 Tbsp garlic, minced
2 tsp dried oregano
2 Tbsp olive oil

Steps:

  • 1. Position the knife blade in a food processor bowl; add flour and the next 3 ingredients. Process for 20 seconds or until crumbly. Add the cold water; process until the mixture forms a ball. Chill at least 30 minutes.
