You wouldn't think it would be, but it is.

5 stalks broccoli
3/4 small red onion, finely chopped
3/4 cup raisins (preferably golden)
1/2 cup shelled sunflower seeds
1 cup mayonnaise
1/4 cup sugar, to taste
2 tablespoons cider vinegar

Steps:

  • Cut the broccoli heads into bite-sized pieces.
  • Peel the stems and cut them up also.
  • Put the broccoli into a bowl together with the onion and the raisins.
  • Combine the dressing ingredients two hours before serving and pour over the broccoli.

1/4 cup red onion, finely chopped
1/4 cup cashews, coarsely chopped
1/2 cup craisins
1/2 lb crisply fried bacon, cooled & finely broken
1 cup mayonnaise

4 tablespoons apple cider

  • Whisk together the dressing ingredients well and set aside.

¾ cup raisins
¾ cup sliced almonds

1 large head broccoli
8 slices cooked bacon, crumbled
1/2 cup finely diced red onion
1/2 lb sharp cheddar cheese, grated
1 cup low-fat mayonnaise
2 tablespoons rice wine vinegar
1/4 cup white sugar
1 cup cherry tomatoes, halved
