Tips:

  • Use fresh, ripe strawberries. This will ensure that your squares have the best flavor.
  • Don't overmix the batter. Overmixing will make the squares tough.
  • Bake the squares until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. This will prevent them from being undercooked or overcooked.
  • Let the squares cool completely before frosting them. This will help the frosting set properly.
  • If you don't have cream cheese, you can substitute sour cream. Just be sure to use full-fat sour cream, or the frosting will be too thin.
  • You can also add other ingredients to your squares, such as chocolate chips, nuts, or even fruit. Just be sure to adjust the baking time accordingly.

Conclusion:

Fresh strawberry squares are a delicious and easy-to-make dessert that is perfect for any occasion. They are made with fresh strawberries, a simple cake batter, and a cream cheese frosting. The squares are then baked until golden brown and cooled before being frosted. These squares are sure to be a hit with everyone who tries them!
