Tips:

  • Use a food processor to make the almond paste: This will save you time and energy, and ensure that the paste is smooth and consistent.
  • If you don't have a food processor, you can make the almond paste by hand: Simply grind the almonds in a mortar and pestle until they are very fine, then add the sugar and oil and mix until well combined.
  • Be sure to use fresh strawberries for this pie: Frozen strawberries will not work as well.
  • If you don't have time to make the pie crust from scratch, you can use a store-bought crust: Just be sure to pre-bake it according to the package directions.
  • Don't over-mix the pie filling: Over-mixing will make the filling tough.
  • Bake the pie until the crust is golden brown and the filling is bubbling: This should take about 45-50 minutes.
  • Let the pie cool completely before serving: This will allow the filling to set.
  • Serve the pie with a dollop of whipped cream or ice cream: This will make it even more delicious!
