Tips:

  • Choose fresh, tender green beans: Look for beans that are bright green and snap easily when you bend them. Avoid beans that are wilted, bruised, or have brown spots.
  • Trim the green beans: Remove the tough ends of the green beans before cooking. You can do this by snapping them off or using a sharp knife.
  • Blanch the green beans: Blanching the green beans helps to preserve their color and crispness. To blanch the beans, place them in a pot of boiling water for 2-3 minutes, then immediately transfer them to a bowl of ice water. Once the beans are cool, drain them well.
  • Cook the bacon until it is crispy: The bacon will add flavor and richness to the bundles. Cook the bacon in a skillet over medium heat until it is crispy and browned.
  • Wrap the green beans in the bacon: Place a green bean on a piece of bacon and wrap the bacon around the bean. Secure the bacon with a toothpick.
  • Bake the bundles: Place the bundles on a baking sheet and bake them in a preheated oven at 400 degrees Fahrenheit for 15-20 minutes, or until the bacon is cooked through and the beans are tender.
