SERVE HOT and Enjoy.

Tips:

  • For a richer flavor, use bone-in pork chops. The bones add flavor and moisture to the meat.
  • Choose a dry white wine for the sauce. A dry white wine will not overpower the flavor of the pork chops.
  • If you don't have dry white wine, you can substitute chicken broth. However, the sauce will not be as flavorful.
  • Use a good quality Gruyère cheese. Gruyère cheese is a nutty, flavorful cheese that melts well.
  • Don't overcook the pork chops. Pork chops are best when they are cooked to an internal temperature of 145 degrees Fahrenheit.
  • Serve the pork chops immediately with the French onion sauce.

Conclusion:

French onion pork chops are a classic French dish that is easy to make and always a crowd-pleaser. The pork chops are seared until golden brown and then braised in a flavorful sauce made with onions, white wine, and Gruyère cheese. The result is a tender, juicy, and flavorful pork chop that is perfect for a special occasion.
