Tips:
- Choose the right cut of pork: Pork shoulder, also known as pork butt, is the best cut for this recipe. It's a flavorful and affordable cut that becomes tender and juicy when cooked slowly.
- Marinate the pork: Marinating the pork in a mixture of soy sauce, rice wine, sugar, and spices helps to infuse it with flavor and makes it more tender.
- Use a variety of citrus fruits: This recipe calls for a combination of oranges, lemons, and limes. Feel free to use other citrus fruits, such as grapefruits or tangerines, to add a different flavor profile.
- Don't overcrowd the steamer: Make sure to leave enough space between the pork slices so that they can cook evenly.
- Steam the pork until it's cooked through: The pork is cooked through when it reaches an internal temperature of 145 degrees Fahrenheit.
Conclusion:
Fragrant Citrus Steamed Pork is a delicious and easy-to-make dish that's perfect for a weeknight meal. The pork is tender and juicy, and the citrus marinade gives it a bright and flavorful taste. Serve it with steamed rice and your favorite vegetables for a complete meal.
