FLOUNDER (OR OTHER WHITE FISH) STUFFED WITH SHRIMP

Flounder (Or Other White Fish) Stuffed With Shrimp image

This is best with thin fillets of flounder, tilapia, snapper, etc. They roll up easier. I've tried to correct the ingredients to reflect 1/2 lb shrimp, but it keeps reverting to 1/2 shrimp. Please use 1/2 lb shrimp. :)

Tips:

  • Choose the right fish: Flounder is a mild, white fish that is perfect for stuffing. Other good choices include sole, tilapia, and cod.
  • Prepare the fish: Rinse the fish inside and out and pat it dry. Make a slit down the center of the fish, being careful not to cut all the way through. Season the fish inside and out with salt and pepper.
  • Make the stuffing: There are many different recipes for stuffing, but a classic combination includes shrimp, crab, bread crumbs, and herbs. Be sure to cook the stuffing before stuffing the fish.
  • Stuff the fish: Spoon the stuffing into the cavity of the fish. Be careful not to overstuff the fish, or it will be difficult to cook evenly.
  • Secure the fish: Use toothpicks or skewers to secure the opening of the fish. This will help keep the stuffing inside the fish while it cooks.
  • Cook the fish: Bake the fish in a preheated oven at 375 degrees Fahrenheit for 20-25 minutes, or until the fish is cooked through. You can also grill or pan-fry the fish, but be sure to adjust the cooking time accordingly.
  • Serve the fish: Serve the fish immediately with your favorite sides, such as rice, vegetables, or salad.

Conclusion:

Flounder or other white fish stuffed with shrimp is a delicious and elegant dish that is perfect for a special occasion. It is relatively easy to make, and the results are sure to impress your guests. With a little planning and effort, you can create a dish that will be the star of your next meal.
