Time 5m

Yield 1/2 cup, 1 serving(s)

Number Of Ingredients 6

3/4 cup Splenda granular
2 tablespoons cornstarch
2 teaspoons lemons (or rum, cocoa and other flavors)
8 ounces low-fat cream cheese
1 teaspoon vanilla
1/4 cup light butter

Steps:

  • Place ingredients in blender jar. Cover and blend until SPLENDA® Granular is a very fine powder.
  • Use it whenever you need to dust and/or decorate with icing sugar.
  • To Frost:.
  • beat the 8 oz of cream cheese with the butter, then mix in the vanilla and 1/2 cup of the home made powdered sugar tasting as you go.
  • Note: I don't taste the cornstarch, but then i don't in powdered sugar either which is full of cornstarch.

Tips:

  • For best results, use superfine sugar or powdered sugar. Granulated sugar will work, but it won't dissolve as easily.
  • You can use any type of flavoring you like. Some popular options include vanilla extract, almond extract, citrus zest, and spices like cinnamon or nutmeg.
  • If you're using fresh herbs, be sure to wash and dry them thoroughly before using. You can also use dried herbs, but they won't be as flavorful.
  • To make flavored sugar cubes, simply dissolve the flavored sugar in a little bit of water and then pour it into a mold. Let the cubes cool and harden completely before using.
  • Store flavored sugar in an airtight container at room temperature. It will keep for up to 6 months.

Conclusion:

Flavored sugar is a great way to add a little something extra to your favorite drinks, desserts, and other recipes. It's easy to make and can be customized to your own taste preferences. So next time you're looking for a way to add a little flavor to your life, give flavored sugar a try!
