I do not use the refrigerated pie crust when making this pie, I use recipe #26205. Tips:

  • For a flaky crust, use a pastry blender or two forks to cut the butter into the flour mixture until it resembles coarse crumbs.
  • If you don't have a pie plate, you can use a 9-inch round baking dish.
  • To prevent the crust from shrinking, chill it for at least 30 minutes before baking.
  • To make sure the filling is cooked through, insert a toothpick into the center of the pie. If it comes out clean, the pie is done.
  • Let the pie cool for at least 15 minutes before serving to allow the filling to set.

Conclusion:

This five-minute blueberry pie is a quick and easy dessert that is perfect for any occasion. The filling is made with fresh or frozen blueberries, sugar, cornstarch, and lemon juice. The crust is made with a simple mixture of flour, butter, and salt. The pie is baked until the crust is golden brown and the filling is bubbling. Serve the pie warm or at room temperature with a dollop of whipped cream or ice cream.
