Time 2h25m

3 ¼ cups bread flour
1 cup warm water

  • Bake rolls in the preheated oven until the tops are golden brown, 12 to 15 minutes.

Tips:

  • Use bread flour for a chewier result, or all-purpose flour for a softer roll.
  • Make sure the yeast is active before using it. To test, dissolve 1 teaspoon of sugar in 1/4 cup of warm water (110-115°F). Stir in 1 teaspoon of the yeast and let stand for 5-10 minutes. If the mixture becomes foamy, the yeast is active and can be used.
  • Knead the dough until it is smooth and elastic, about 5-7 minutes. This will help to develop the gluten in the dough, which will give the rolls a chewy texture.
  • Let the dough rise in a warm place until it has doubled in size, about 1 hour. This will give the yeast time to work and produce carbon dioxide gas, which will cause the dough to rise.
  • Shape the dough into rolls and place them on a greased baking sheet. Let the rolls rise again for 30 minutes.
  • Bake the rolls in a preheated oven at 375°F for 20-25 minutes, or until they are golden brown. Let the rolls cool before serving.

Conclusion:

These finger rolls are the perfect addition to any soup or sandwich. They are soft, chewy, and have a slightly sweet flavor. They are also very easy to make, and can be made ahead of time. Whether you are serving them for a special occasion or just for a weeknight meal, these finger rolls are sure to be a hit.
