Tips:

  • Choose fresh clams: Look for clams that are tightly closed and have a briny smell. Avoid any clams that are open or have a foul odor.
  • Soak the clams: Soaking the clams in cold water for 30 minutes will help to remove any sand or grit.
  • Use a large pot: The clams will expand as they cook, so it's important to use a large pot to prevent them from overcrowding.
  • Don't overcook the clams: Clams are very delicate and can easily be overcooked. Cook them just until they are opaque and tender, about 5-7 minutes.
  • Serve immediately: Clam adobo is best served immediately after it is cooked. The clams will toughen if they are allowed to sit for too long.

Conclusion:

Filipino clam adobo is a delicious and easy-to-make dish that is perfect for a weeknight meal. The clams are cooked in a flavorful sauce made with vinegar, soy sauce, garlic, and bay leaves. The dish is typically served with rice and vegetables. If you are looking for a new and exciting way to cook clams, then you should definitely try this recipe. `
