Tips:

  • Choose fettuccine with a thicker, more substantial noodle. This will help it hold up to the sauce and prevent it from becoming soggy.
  • Cook the fettuccine according to the package directions, but subtract 1 minute from the cooking time. This will ensure that the pasta is al dente, or slightly firm to the bite.
  • While the pasta is cooking, make the sauce. This can be done in a skillet or a saucepan over medium heat.
  • Add the cooked pasta to the sauce and stir to combine. Cook for 1-2 minutes, or until the pasta is heated through.
  • Serve the fettuccine immediately, garnished with Parmesan cheese, red pepper flakes, and fresh basil.

Conclusion:

Fettuccine Alfredo is a classic Italian dish that is easy to make and always a crowd-pleaser. With just a few simple ingredients, you can create a delicious and satisfying meal that the whole family will love. So next time you're looking for a quick and easy weeknight meal, give fettuccine Alfredo a try. You won't be disappointed.
