Steps:
- Add all ingredients to the bowl of an electric stand mixer or to a large mixing bowl. Combine until a dough is formed that holds together and does not stick to the sides of bottom of the bowl. If it seems too dry and crumbly, add more water a teaspoon at a time. If it's too sticky, add more flour.
- Knead the dough by machine or hand for ten to fifteen minutes, until it is smooth, soft, and reaches the windowpane stage (meaning that when the dough is stretched, a translucent area appears). If using a stand mixer, allow the machine to rest every five minutes.
- Shape the dough gently into a ball and place into a clean, lightly oiled bowl. Cover with a clean, damp tea towel and place into a warm place to rise. Let the dough rise 60 minutes, until it is puffy and has doubled in size.
- Gently stretch the dough into a rectangle, with the short side of the rectangle as long as the long side of the loaf pan you will be using for baking. Tuck in the corners and top of the dough, and roll into a long. Pinch the seams closed and place the loaf, seam side down, into a lightly oiled loaf pan.
- Cover with heavily greased plastic wrap and place in a warm place to rise again, until the dough rises to be one inch above the top of the loaf pan. When it is ready, preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Generously flour the top of the loaf with flour.
- Bake at 350 for 45-50 minutes, until the dough is 200-210 degrees internally and sounds hollow when tapped. Remove from loaf pan and allow to cool fully on wire rack. Bread stays fresh 2 days at room temperature, or 2 months frozen.

FARMHOUSE WHITE MULTI-GRAIN CHEESE BREAD - BREAD MACHINE
A really easy & delectable loaf of bread from your Bread Making Machine! I use a mix of Farmhouse or Country White flour with Multi-Grain flour. The cheese is Parmesan cheese for a slightly "Cheesy" kick! This recipe is dependant on your Bread Machine - mine is a Russell Hobbs Breadman Ultimate and I use the White - Rapid - 2lb - Medium Crust setting for this bread; that is just a guide, as your bread machine might be bit a different - but that setting has worked for my family & friends! An easy-to-whip-up family loaf which is healthy & very tasty. It is particlarly good toasted the day after. If you don't want to use as much olive oil as I do - it IS good for you however - reduce it by 1 tablespoon; the texture is not as good, but it still works!PLEASE NOTE - I ALWAYS test my recipes at least twice before I post them - and photograph them wherever possible - as you can see from the photo, this bread DID cook right the way through, and, your measuremnts MUST be spot on when making bread in a bread machine!

Steps:
- Depending on the order of ingredients for your bread machine - place either wet or dry ingredients into the bread pan of the bread machine; I have put this list in order of wet to dry.
- Set your bread machine for a White 2lb loaf, rapid or normal and I find a medium crust works well on this - but it's up to personal taste!
- Check within the first 5 minutes if there is enough liquid to dry, I say this as flours from different parts of the world can differ greatly! (Adjust if necessary - it is NOT usual to have to add more or less than a few millilitres or grammes either way.
- Bake on desired setting according to your bread machine.
- Carefully remove pan from the machine when the cooking cycle has finished.
- Cool slightly before slicing and spreading with lashings of butter -- Mmmmmmmmm!
- (Don't forget to check BEFORE slicing if the mixing paddle is still inside the loaf - remove gently if it is.).
- Great toasted next day and also great for Cheese & Pickle Sandwiches on the same day -- or Cheese and Ham, or Cheese & Chutney, or Cheese & Onion -- anything in fact!

FARMHOUSE WHITE BREAD (FOR BREAD MACHINE)
This is one of my favorite bread machine recipes, though you can also make a shaped loaf if you want. I usually use wheat flour in place of some of the bread flour, about 1/3 of the total flour. For every cup of wheat flour, I add about a teaspoon of gluten. I'm giving amounts for a medium (1-1/2 lb)loaf. Measurements in...

Steps:
- 1. Add ingredients in the correct order for your bread machine, except for the sesame seeds. *** Remember that you can substitute wheat(or some other) flour for part of the bread flour. Add an appropriate amount of gluten if you use wheat flour.
- 2. Set your machine for the correct sized loaf, and desired loaf color.
- 3. Add sesame seeds when the machine beeps for add-ins.
- 4. The next time your machine beeps, you will have a delicious loaf of bread.
- 5. Note: I sometimes use the bread machine to make dough only, then place in a bread pan, sprinkle with more sesame seeds, let rise and bake in the oven at 350 for 20-30 min. until golden brown. (I keep my eye on it for color, sometimes I forget to check the actual time.)
Tips:
- Make sure all ingredients are at room temperature before starting. This will help the yeast activate properly and result in a better rise.
- If you don't have a bread machine, you can still make this bread by hand. Just follow the instructions for mixing and kneading the dough, then shape it into a loaf and bake it in a preheated oven at 375°F for 30-35 minutes.
- You can add a variety of ingredients to this bread to customize it to your taste. Some popular additions include cheese, herbs, nuts, and dried fruit.
- Be patient! Bread making takes time. Don't rush the process or you'll end up with a dense, heavy loaf.
Conclusion:
Farmhouse white bread is a delicious and versatile bread that can be enjoyed for breakfast, lunch, or dinner. It's easy to make, even if you're a beginner, and it's a great way to use up leftover buttermilk. So next time you're looking for a simple and satisfying bread recipe, give this one a try!
