FAMILY REUNION CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIE MIX

Family Reunion Chocolate Chip Cookie Mix image

Since I make many items for our family reunion most years, this is a cookie recipe that I came up with to make a couple of varieties of cookies. It is great when you are in a hurry, and if you do not want it to get ransid, store it in gallon bags in the freezer and take out what you need when you need it. It is suppose to last...

Time 40m

Number Of Ingredients 6

9 c all purpose flour
4 tsp baking soda
2 tsp salt
3 c brown sugar, packed
3 c white sugar
4 c butter flavored crisco

Steps:

  • 1. Thourgly combine dry ingredients, cut in shortening until crumbly. Store in an air tight container in a cool dry place, up to 6 months.
  • 2. To make cookies, combine 7 cups of cookie mix, one 1-11 1/2 ounce bag chocolate chips, 1 teaspoon vanilla, and 2 beaten eggs. Mix well. Drop by tablespoonfuls, 1/2 inch apart, on a greased baking sheet. Bake in PREHEATED 375 degreee F oven for 10 to 12 minutes, or until golden brown. Remove from pans and cool on wire racks.
  • 3. To make Peanut Butter cookies, use one egg, and 1 cup chunky peanut Butter . Bake as directed above.

Tips:

  • Choose high-quality chocolate chips. The better the chocolate chips, the better the cookies will be. Look for chips that are made with real chocolate and have a high cocoa content.
  • Use a combination of white and brown sugar. This will give the cookies a chewy texture and a rich flavor.
  • Don't overmix the dough. Overmixing will make the cookies tough. Mix just until the ingredients are combined.
  • Chill the dough before baking. This will help the cookies hold their shape and prevent them from spreading too much.
  • Bake the cookies at a high temperature for a short amount of time. This will give the cookies a crispy exterior and a chewy interior.

These family reunion chocolate chip cookie mix recipes are a great way to bring people together and create lasting memories. They are easy to make, delicious, and can be tailored to everyone's taste.
