- 7. Remove from oven and let sit uncovered for 5 minutes before cutting.
Tips:
- Use a variety of meats. This will help to create a more flavorful and moist meatloaf. Some good options include ground beef, ground pork, and ground lamb.
- Don't overmix the meatloaf mixture. Overmixing will make the meatloaf tough. Just mix until the ingredients are combined.
- Add some moisture to the meatloaf mixture. This will help to keep the meatloaf moist and juicy. Some good options include eggs, milk, and bread crumbs.
- Season the meatloaf mixture well. This will help to give the meatloaf flavor. Some good options include salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder.
- Don't cook the meatloaf at too high of a temperature. This will make the meatloaf dry and tough. Cook the meatloaf at a low temperature for a longer period of time.
- Let the meatloaf rest before slicing. This will help to keep the meatloaf moist and juicy. Let the meatloaf rest for at least 10 minutes before slicing.
Conclusion:
Meatloaf is a classic comfort food that is easy to make and can be enjoyed by people of all ages. By following these tips, you can make a delicious and moist meatloaf that your family and friends will love.
