Steps:
- 1. Add 1/2 cup bouillon with bread cubes and add egg. Let stand 5 minutes or until croutons are softened; beat until light and fluffy.
- 2. Add meat, onion, salt and pepper.
- 3. Shape into a loaf and put in loaf pan.
- 4. Rough the top of the meat with a fork and cover with the sauce ingredients which have been combined.
- 5. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour.
Tips:
- Use high-quality ground beef. The quality of your meatloaf will depend on the quality of the ground beef you use. Choose a lean ground beef, such as 80/20 or 90/10, for a moist and flavorful meatloaf.
- Season the meatloaf well. Don't be afraid to use a generous amount of seasonings in your meatloaf. Common seasonings include salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and paprika. You can also add fresh herbs, such as parsley, thyme, or rosemary, for extra flavor.
- Use a binder to help hold the meatloaf together. A binder, such as eggs, breadcrumbs, or oatmeal, will help to hold the meatloaf together and prevent it from falling apart. If you are using eggs, be sure to beat them well before adding them to the meatloaf mixture.
- Don't overmix the meatloaf. Overmixing the meatloaf will make it tough. Simply mix the ingredients until they are combined and then form the meatloaf into a loaf shape.
- Bake the meatloaf at a high temperature for a short amount of time. This will help to create a crispy crust and a juicy interior.
- Let the meatloaf rest before slicing. Allowing the meatloaf to rest for 10-15 minutes before slicing will help it to retain its juices.
Conclusion:
Meatloaf is a classic comfort food that is easy to make and loved by people of all ages. With the right ingredients and a little bit of effort, you can make a delicious meatloaf that will be the star of your next meal. Experiment with different seasonings and ingredients to find your favorite meatloaf recipe.
