Tips:

  • Choose the right nuts: Not all nuts are created equal. For this recipe, you'll want to use a variety of nuts that are all relatively firm and have a good flavor. Some good options include almonds, walnuts, pecans, and cashews.
  • Toast the nuts: Toasting the nuts will bring out their flavor and make them more crunchy. You can toast the nuts in a preheated oven at 350 degrees Fahrenheit for 10-15 minutes, or you can toast them in a pan over medium heat for 5-7 minutes, stirring constantly.
  • Use fresh spices: Fresh spices will give your nuts the best flavor. If you can, use whole spices and grind them yourself just before using. This will release their full flavor and aroma.
  • Don't overcrowd the pan: When you're toasting the nuts, don't overcrowd the pan. This will prevent them from cooking evenly. Instead, use a large pan or baking sheet so that the nuts have plenty of space to spread out.
  • Store the nuts properly: Once you've made your Everything Nice Nuts, store them in an airtight container in a cool, dry place. They will keep for up to 2 weeks.
