MONSTER COOKIES

Monster Cookies image

I was surprised when I first saw this recipe as usually Monster Cookies are made with huge amounts of ingredients. This one does not have flour, and I was told by the friend to use Quick oats other wise the cookies come out very dry. I used the medium size scoop from Pampered Chef to make these cookies. Very good!

This one has a bit of everything I like in a cookie-chocolate, oats, nuts and coconut. A friend of mine gave me a recipe for them, but I made some changes. I find that when you cut sugar, you can actually taste the other ingredients better. I also increased the coconut and oats.

EVERYTHING COOKIES!

Everything Cookies! image

I took the basic oatmeal cookie recipe (right off the Quaker box) and added everything I could find in the pantry: chocolate chips, raisins, even some peanut butter. Was out of vanilla, so added almond extract. Wonderful chewy crunch!

1 cup chopped nuts

Steps:

  • Cream butter, peanut butter, and sugars.
  • Add eggs and vanilla, mixing well. Stir in dry ingredients, mix well.

Tips:

  • Use room temperature butter. This will help the cookies spread and bake more evenly.
  • Cream the butter and sugars together until light and fluffy. This will help incorporate air into the dough, resulting in a lighter, chewier cookie.
  • Chill the dough for at least 30 minutes before baking. This will help the cookies hold their shape and prevent them from spreading too much.
  • Bake the cookies until the edges are golden brown and the centers are set. Overbaking will dry out the cookies.
  • Let the cookies cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely. This will help prevent the cookies from breaking.

Conclusion:

Everything cookies, also known as monster cookies, are a delicious and easy-to-make treat. With their chewy texture, gooey center, and variety of mix-ins, they're sure to be a hit with everyone. So next time you're looking for a fun and festive cookie to bake, give everything cookies a try.
