Steps:
- Light charcoal briquettes in a grill and brush the grilling rack with oil to keep the salmon from sticking.
- While the grill is heating, lay the salmon skin side down on a cutting board and cut it crosswise into 4 equal pieces. Whisk together the mustard, soy sauce, olive oil, and garlic in a small bowl. Drizzle half of the marinade onto the salmon and allow it to sit for 10 minutes.
- Place the salmon skin side down on the hot grill; discard the marinade the fish was sitting in. Grill for 4 to 5 minutes, depending on the thickness of the fish. Turn carefully with a wide spatula and grill for another 4 to 5 minutes. The salmon will be slightly raw in the center, but don't worry; it will keep cooking as it sits.
- Transfer the fish to a flat plate, skin side down, and spoon the reserved marinade on top. Allow the fish to rest for 10 minutes. Remove the skin and serve warm, at room temperature, or chilled.

Steps:
- Mix all the marinade ingredient together.
- Place in a shallow glass container or plastic baggie (Ziplock).
- Lay the salmon in the marinade, flesh side down if you are using skin on salmon. Spoon the marinade over the fish to coat.
- Let marinate for at least 30 minutes at room temp.- individual salmon filets can marinate for 30 minutes up to an hour.- whole salmon filet can marinate for up to 2 hours.I do not reccommend exceed 4 hours as the salmon will begin to break down and become mushy.
- Pull the salmon out of the marinade.RESERVE THE REMAINING MARINADE, it makes a delicious serving sauce (see directions below)!
- Cook the salmon in your preffered method. (oven, stove top, foil, grill, air fryer...)
ALASKAN SALMON MARINADE
"Secret" recipe from the best steakhouse in Cordova, Alaska! This makes almost any kind of salmon palatable (except for pinks). Requires only 30 minutes marinating time. Makes a huge batch of marinade - would probably cover two huge fillets. You could try making half... (I use dried parsley and it tastes great.)

Tips:
- Choose the right salmon: Look for wild-caught Alaskan salmon that is fresh or frozen. If using frozen salmon, thaw it in the refrigerator overnight or under cold water for 30 minutes.
- Make the marinade ahead of time: The marinade can be made up to 24 hours in advance. This allows the flavors to meld and develop.
- Use a large baking dish: This will help to ensure that the salmon is evenly coated with the marinade.
- Bake the salmon at a high temperature: This will help to create a crispy crust on the outside of the salmon while keeping the inside moist and flaky.
- Serve the salmon immediately: Salmon is best served immediately after it is cooked. If you need to store it, let it cool completely before refrigerating it for up to 3 days.
Conclusion:
This Eur-Asian Marinated Alaska Salmon is a delicious and easy-to-make dish that is perfect for a weeknight meal or a special occasion. The marinade, made with a combination of soy sauce, honey, garlic, and ginger, infuses the salmon with flavor, while the high-temperature baking creates a crispy crust. Serve the salmon with your favorite sides, such as rice, roasted vegetables, or a salad.
