Tips:

  • Choose ripe peaches: Using ripe peaches will ensure that your crisp is packed with flavor. Look for peaches that are soft to the touch and have a sweet smell.
  • Use a variety of peaches: Using a variety of peaches will give your crisp a more complex flavor. Try using a mix of white and yellow peaches, or even adding in a few donut peaches.
  • Don't overmix the topping: Overmixing the topping will make it tough. Mix the ingredients just until they are combined.
  • Bake the crisp until the topping is golden brown: The crisp is done baking when the topping is golden brown and the filling is bubbling. This usually takes about 30-35 minutes.
  • Let the crisp cool before serving: Let the crisp cool for at least 15 minutes before serving. This will allow the filling to set and the flavors to meld together.

Conclusion:

Emily's Peach Crisp is a delicious and easy-to-make dessert that is perfect for summer. With its juicy peaches, sweet topping, and lower fat content, this crisp is sure to be a hit with everyone who tries it. So next time you have a craving for something sweet, give this recipe a try.
