Time 7m

Number Of Ingredients 4

1 pint vanilla ice cream
1/2 cup crumbled biscotti cookies or other cookie crumbs of choice
1/4 cup Frangelico or other nut-flavored liqueur
2 tablespoons roughly chopped hazelnuts or walnuts, lightly toasted

Steps:

  • Remove the ice cream from the freezer and let it soften slightly, about 5 minutes at room temperature.
  • Into the bottom of four parfait or ice cream dishes, scoop about 2 tablespoons of the vanilla ice cream. Top with about 1/2 tablespoon of the cookie crumbs, and drizzle with 1 1/2 teaspoons of the liqueur. Continue layering the ingredients, ending with liqueur on top.
  • Serve immediately, garnished with the chopped nuts.

Tips:

  • Select ripe and flavorful fruits: Use fresh, ripe fruits for the best flavor and texture. Look for fruits that are brightly colored and have a sweet aroma.
  • Don't overmix the fruit: Gently toss the fruit together to avoid breaking them up. Overmixing can result in a mushy salad.
  • Chill the parfaits before serving: This will help to set the yogurt and make the parfaits more refreshing.
  • Garnish with fresh mint or berries: This will add a pop of color and freshness to the parfaits.
  • Serve the parfaits immediately: The fruit will start to release its juices over time, so it's best to serve the parfaits as soon as they are made.

Conclusion:

Emeril's Ambrosia Salad Parfaits are a delicious and refreshing dessert that is perfect for any occasion. They are easy to make and can be customized to your liking.
