500g pot of good-quality vanilla custard
284ml carton double cream

Nutrition Facts : Calories 498 calories, Fat 46 grams fat, SaturatedFat 26 grams saturated fat, Carbohydrate 21 grams carbohydrates, Sugar 8 grams sugar, Protein 4 grams protein, Sodium 0.2 milligram of sodium

Tips:

  • Use full-fat ingredients: Full-fat milk, cream, and sugar will give you the richest, creamiest ice cream. If you use low-fat or non-fat ingredients, your ice cream will be icy and less flavorful.
  • Chill your ingredients and equipment: Chilling your ingredients and equipment will help the ice cream freeze faster and smoother. Make sure your milk, cream, sugar, and eggs are cold before you start making the ice cream. You should also chill your ice cream maker bowl for at least 24 hours before using it.
  • Don't overmix the ice cream: Overmixing the ice cream will make it tough and grainy. Mix the ice cream just until it is thickened and smooth.
  • Freeze the ice cream for at least 4 hours before serving: This will give the ice cream time to firm up and develop its full flavor.
  • Store the ice cream in an airtight container in the freezer: This will help the ice cream stay fresh and prevent it from getting freezer burn.
