Steps:
- 1. In a medium sized bowl, blend all together, well. Place in refrigerator to chill, for a few hours. Note: (Minced red pepper is very good in this spread, for a more festive look.)
- 2. This won't be a real stiff spread. What I do is lay out a piece of waxed paper and sprinkle some parsley where I'm going to be placing the spread. I scoop the spread out onto the waxed paper and use my hands to shape it. Sprinkling with parsley first makes it so easy. Once shaped as you desire, I then cut the excess waxed paper away, as close to the edges of the spread as possible. Place on serving plate and surround with your favorite crackers or party bread.
- 3. Tasty!

EASY DELICIOUS TUNA SPREAD (NON-DAIRY)
The simplest part about preparing for any dinner party! Whenever I take it to a barbecue or potluck it disappears in a flash. Plus it keeps well in the fridge and is totally addictive. Can be served on crackers, as a spread, or in a small bowl as a side-dish. (Cooking time is for boiling eggs.)

Steps:
- Using a fork, squash the egg thoroughly until uniform in texture and colour.
- Add sandwich tuna.
- If using tuna in water, add olive oil; if using tuna in oil, leave it out.
- It's possible to use chunk tuna instead, you just have to put more effort into squashing it well.
- Add the chopped onion, mix and squash a bit with the fork-- I find this releases the juice from the onion and adds flavour without giving it that'onion-y' taste.
- Add mayonnaise and mix well.
- Serve in a small bowl and garnish with parsley as desired.
- Also works well on crackers or as a spread.
- Keeps in the refrigerator for at least a week-- I haven't tried longer than this because it always gets eaten!
Tips:
- Choose high-quality tuna: Opt for solid white albacore tuna packed in water or olive oil for the best flavor and texture.
- Use fresh crackers: Stale crackers will make the spread less enjoyable. Choose fresh, crispy crackers that will hold up well to the spread.
- Don't overmix the spread: Overmixing can make the spread too runny. Mix the ingredients just until they are well combined.
- Add your favorite mix-ins: Feel free to experiment with different mix-ins to create your perfect tuna cracker spread. Some popular options include chopped celery, chopped onion, chopped pickles, and chopped hard-boiled eggs.
- Serve the spread immediately: Tuna cracker spread is best when served immediately. If you need to make it ahead of time, store it in the refrigerator for up to 2 days.
Conclusion:
Tuna cracker spread is a classic party food that is easy to make and always a crowd-pleaser. With its creamy, savory flavor and crunchy texture, it's the perfect snack or appetizer for any occasion. So next time you're looking for a quick and easy dish to serve, give tuna cracker spread a try. You won't be disappointed!
