EASY SWEET AND SOUR PORK CHOPS

Easy Sweet and Sour Pork Chops image

Being a busy single mom, I look for recipes that are quick, simple and don't have 100 ingredients. This one fits the bill to a T. I've served it to my picky parents and sisters who loved it and my 6 year old always asks for seconds (and even thirds at times)! Original recpie called for equal parts of wet ingredients, but I found it too salty and reduce the soy sauce slightly.

Number Of Ingredients 5

6 thick pork chops
1/4 c soy sauce
1/4 c chili sauce
1/4 c honey
1 Tbsp sesame seeds

Steps:

  • 1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

  • 3. OPTIONAL: When you uncover dish you may add 1/2 cup sliced green bell pepper and 1/2 cup drained canned pineapple chunks. Continue baking as above.

Tips:

  • To make the best sweet and sour pork chops, use thin-cut pork chops. This will help them cook evenly and quickly.
  • If you don't have cornstarch, you can use flour instead. Just be sure to whisk it together with the water until it's smooth before adding it to the sauce.
  • Don't overcrowd the pan when cooking the pork chops. This will prevent them from cooking evenly.
