GARLIC-LEMON SHRIMP LINGUINE
The Cheesecake Factory has an extensive menu, but I always seem to order their delicious fresh and citrusy Lemon Shrimp Linguine. I'd enjoyed it enough times that I was confident I reproduce it to share with friends and family. Think I hit it spot on! When I have fresh basil from the garden I use that instead of parsley.

LEMON SHRIMP WITH PASTA AND BASIL
This takes no time at all to prepare. It looks like you've cooked all day! So easy, so basic, so fragrant This works well with chicken also. I sometimes prepare this with both the chicken and the shrimp, but I make a little more sauce, and I will add a little chicken broth to the sauce.

Tips:
- For the best flavor, use fresh shrimp that are firm and have a briny smell.
- Cook the shrimp until they are just opaque and pink, about 2-3 minutes per side. Overcooking will make them tough and rubbery.
- Use a large skillet to cook the shrimp so that they have plenty of room to spread out and cook evenly.
- Don't overcrowd the skillet, or the shrimp will steam instead of sear.
- Season the shrimp with salt and pepper before cooking to enhance their flavor.
- Add a squeeze of lemon juice or a splash of white wine to the skillet after cooking the shrimp to brighten the flavor.
- Use a good quality olive oil for the basil garlic butter sauce. It will make a big difference in the flavor of the dish.
- Don't overcook the garlic when making the sauce. It should be fragrant and slightly golden brown, not burnt.
- Add a pinch of red pepper flakes to the sauce for a little bit of heat.
- Serve the shrimp linguine immediately after it is cooked. The pasta is best when it is hot and the sauce is creamy.
