The trick is to finely grate the garlic (I use a Microplane®) plus the secret ingredient, maple syrup. I like my dressings sweet, but just use less maple syrup if you like your dressings more tart.

Tips:

  • Use fresh ingredients. The fresher your ingredients, the better your dressing will taste. Choose ripe, flavorful fruits and vegetables, and fresh herbs if possible.
  • Experiment with different flavors. There are endless possibilities when it comes to creating salad dressings, so don't be afraid to experiment. Try different combinations of herbs, spices, and vinegars to create a dressing that suits your taste.
  • Adjust the acidity to your liking. Some people prefer a more tart dressing, while others prefer a milder one. To adjust the acidity, add more or less vinegar or lemon juice to taste.
  • Use a good quality oil. The type of oil you use can make a big difference in the flavor of your dressing. Choose a high-quality olive oil or avocado oil for a rich, flavorful dressing.
  • Emulsify your dressing. Emulsifying your dressing means shaking it vigorously until the oil and vinegar are combined and form a smooth, creamy mixture. This will help to prevent the dressing from separating.
  • Store your dressing properly. Store your dressing in a sealed container in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks. Be sure to shake the dressing well before using.
