FILLING:
1 large egg, room temperature
3/4 cup packed brown sugar

2/3 cup finely chopped pecans, divided

Steps:

  • In a small bowl, beat butter and cream cheese until smooth; gradually beat in flour. Refrigerate, covered, 1 hour or until firm enough to roll., Preheat oven to 375°. 4 cups all-purpose flour
3 eggs
2 ½ cups packed brown sugar
3 tablespoons melted butter
½ teaspoon vanilla extract
1 pinch salt
1 ½ cups chopped pecans

Steps:

  • Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).

1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, at room temperature
3 ounces cream cheese, at room temperature
1 cup all-purpose flour, plus more for the tamper
1 large egg
3/4 cups light brown sugar
1 tablespoon unsalted butter, at room temperature
1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
1/2 teaspoon ground allspice
1/2 teaspoon nutmeg, freshly grated
Pinch kosher salt
3/4 cup chopped pecans
Confectioners' sugar, for dusting

Steps:

  • Prepare a grill for indirect heat. If using a charcoal grill, build the hot coals on one side only. If using a gas grill, heat one side only to medium-high heat.

4 Tbsp unsalted butter melted
1 1/2 c brown sugar
