EASY PEASY COFFEE CAKE

Easy Peasy Coffee Cake image

I made this for the first time when I had two tubes of breakfast rolls that needed to be used up. My favorite coffee cake has caramel and nuts on top but they are always kind of expensive. I have other recipes for this coffee cake but they are much more complicated and this was so easy to do and extremely tasty too.

Time 40m

Number Of Ingredients 5

1/2 c brown sugar
1/2 stick butter
2 pkg breakfast rolls (cinnamon)
6 oz walnuts or pecans (chopped or halved)
cinnamon & sugar mixed

Steps:

  • 1. In a small saucepan, place your butter and brown sugar and heat on a medium heat until you achieve a caramel consistancy.
  • 2. In a bundt pan, spray olive oil spray in the pan and then pour the caramel sauce into the bottom being careful not to get too much on the edges of the pan. Then place the nuts evenly on top of the sauce.
  • 3. Then layer the breakfast rolls evenly around the pan. You may add more nuts here if you like, that is optional. However, sprinkle the cinnamon and sugar over the top of the rolls and then add the second layer of rolls (second tube)and sprinkle again. Bake @ 350 degrees for 20 to 30 minutes. (depends on your oven) Serve warm or room temp.
