1/4 cup white puree (Sneaky Chef Make-Ahead White Puree)
1 (28 ounce) can whole peeled tomatoes with liquid
1 (6 ounce) can tomato paste
1/2 teaspoon salt
fresh ground black pepper

  • Pink Sauce Variation:.
  • Add 1/2-3/4 cup soy milk(or regular milk or vegetable broth) into sauce, mixing until well blended and continue to simmer to thicken the sauce. Pure sauce as instructed above.

Tips:

  • Use fresh, ripe tomatoes: This will give your sauce the best flavor.
  • Don't overcook the sauce: Simmer it for just long enough to allow the flavors to meld, about 30 minutes.
  • Add a splash of red wine: This will add a rich, complex flavor to the sauce.
  • Season the sauce to taste: Use salt, pepper, and garlic powder to adjust the flavor to your liking.
  • Serve the sauce over your favorite pasta: Spaghetti, penne, and rigatoni are all great choices.
