Time 2h10m

Number Of Ingredients 6

1/4 cup unsalted butter
1 10 oz bag mini marshmallows (about 5 cups)
1/2 cup peanut butter
6 cups Rice Krispie cereal*
8 oz chocolate chips (about 1 1/3 cups)
2 teaspoons vegetable oil

Steps:

  • Lightly grease a 9x13 inch pan with butter or non-stick cooking spray.
  • In a large saucepan melt the butter, mini marshmallows and peanut butter together over low heat while stirring gently.
  • Once melted, remove from the heat and stir in the Rice Krispies.
  • Press the mixture into the pan (lightly spray your hands with non-stick cooking spray to avoid the mixture sticking to your hands).
  • Add the chocolate chips (or chopped chocolate) to a medium-sized heatproof bowl. Microwave for 45-second intervals on medium power (not high or standard), stirring in between each burst.
  • Once almost melted, stir until smooth and stir in the vegetable oil.

EASY FROZEN PEANUT BUTTER RICE KRISPIE TREAT BARS

Easy Frozen Peanut Butter Rice Krispie Treat Bars image

This is in no way anywhere near healthy. I've never actually eaten this except for a few bites to make sure it tastes okay. I was trying to make a last minute dessert as part of an anniversary gift. I make really good peanut butter bon bons but I haven't in years so I looked up a recipe and made it all wrong. I did not even have powdered sugar and attempted to whiz it through my food processor. Did not work. Television has lied to me. Haha. Anyways, so after that mess up, I threw everything into a pan and froze it for any hour and it ended up being my lovermans favorite dessert that I made. Go figure. I didn't use measurements while making this. I've made it twice and both times came out pretty good.

PEANUT BUTTER RICE CRISPY TREATS

This is an easy wonderfully tastey treat that is great for all occasions. This is my mother in law's recipe, that my sweet husband had as a child, and my children ask for also. I have also molded these in to little brains on Halloween.

Time 30m

Yield 24 ea, 24 serving(s)

Number Of Ingredients 5

1 cup sugar
1 cup Karo syrup
1 1/2 cups peanut butter
5 cups Rice Krispies
butter, for hands

Steps:

  • Place sugar, syrup and peanut butter in heavy sauce pan and bring to a boil.
  • Place the rice crispies in a large bowl.
  • Stir the mixture on to the top of the cereal, til all is covered.
  • Place mixture on buttered cookie sheet, use hands covered in butter to spread. (I have tried to use a utensil, and always reverted to the hand spreading method).
  • Place in fridge to cool.
  • Cut in squares.

Tips:

  • Use fresh and high-quality ingredients for the best results.
  • Make sure the rice cereal is fresh and crispy. Stale cereal will result in dry and crumbly bars.
  • If you don't have a microwave, you can melt the butter and marshmallows in a saucepan over low heat, stirring constantly.
  • Be careful not to overcook the mixture, as this will make the bars tough.
  • Press the mixture firmly into the prepared pan, as this will help the bars hold together.
  • Chill the bars for at least 2 hours before serving, as this will help them set and firm up.
  • Store the bars in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days, or in the freezer for up to 2 months.

Conclusion:

Frozen peanut butter rice krispie treat bars are a delicious and easy-to-make snack or dessert that can be enjoyed by people of all ages. They are perfect for parties, potlucks, or just a quick snack. With just a few simple ingredients and a little bit of time, you can create a batch of these delicious treats that are sure to please everyone.
